"Give me your money right now! Give it all to me right now!" Okay, so in this scenario, maybe we're looking at the times of the show on the wall. Maybe we're waiting in line, but we're up against a wall, which can put us at a little bit of a jeopardizing position because they might shove us up against the wall, which is a bad thing. So we should always kind of have one hand on the wall to help buffer that push, or something like that. But, you know, the hard part here is that we're facing the wall, the perpetrator comes around and grabs us from behind and starts to choke us. It's going to be essential that we realize and know how to clear the hands. And then we have two excellent threat neutralizing blows that are really efficient and are really effective. So let's show you how that works right now. So I'm here, I'm looking at the times of the show, and unbeknownst to me, Kiely comes from behind and starts the choke. I'm gonna take one of my hands, it doesn't matter which one, it could be my left or my right, but I already have my left hand on the wall. So I shoot my right arm up and I pivot around and I trap the arms. Lookit now. I'm already charged with my elbow to deliver an effective threat neutralizing elbow strike. Effectively and efficiently, my hands are already in position to grab the shoulder, the shirt, the back of the neck, and deliver a knee strike to the groin, completely neutralizing the threat and escaping and retreating. Okay so this is a fun one to practice with your training partner. We're gonna show you a couple variations here on how he simulates the choke with the pads on. It's going to be important for your training partner to hold the pad equal to their head level, but not in front of their face. Remember, this practice we're using these pads because I really want you to get to a point where you're striking with almost full force, or if not full force, so that you can become stronger and more and more effective. There is a purpose to doing this. If they hold the pad by their face, you hit the pad, it hits their face, it's not good. So have them hold the pad out. It's a target mitt. The pad becomes the face, that's all you care about. In real life it'll be the face. Then they flip the pad, the thai pad, down to the groin area so that they can actually have protection when you do the knee strikes. And it's gonna look a lot like this. Here I'm reading something on the wall, I feel the choke, I turn around. There's my target. Elbow strike. He brings the thai pad here. Groin strike with the knee. Again. Trap. Elbow strike. Groin strike with the knee.
In this scenario you are facing a wall when an aggressor grabs you from behind and starts to choke you. To escape you would trap the aggressor's arms, give an elbow strike, pull aggressor down and give a knee strike.
