"Give me all your money right now! Give it all!" "No!" Okay, another variation from being attacked against a wall is the same choke, but not from the rear, but from the front. And so in this we're gonna demonstrate some effective, very quick threat neutralizing skills that will help us escape and retreat away from a situation like this. Let's take a look at what we do here. So I may be standing up against a wall, waiting for a bus, and the perpetrator comes in and begins the choke. Here again, I'm simply going to take my arm and bring it over, trapping the arms. I bring the same elbow strike to the side of the face followed by the hands on the back of the neck and grabbing the material of the shirt. Lookit this now. Delivering a strike to the groin with the knee, neutralizing the threat, retreating and escaping. Okay, so a couple things to mention here when we're talking about having our training partner holding the pads, remember that just one hand up on the neck is gonna simulate the choke, that's okay. Because we want something to be able to reach around and trap. So we're gonna demonstrate how that looks. I've been debating as to whether to tell you to use couch cushions at home and things. I'm just telling you, the stronger you get, the better you get at this. You cannot believe how much force is delivered per square inch when you strike. I think it's gonna go through the couch cushions. And so I really can't suggest that wholeheartedly. These pads are not that expensive and you can usually get them at any sporting goods. It's a target mitt and a thai pad, that's what they call them. They're about the length of the forearm. So in this situation Kiely puts one hand up on my throat to simulate the choke. I come around to block the arm. He lifts target mitt so that I can do the elbow strike to the face followed by the back of the neck, shoulder, knee strike. Again. Choke against the wall. Here, to trap the arm. Elbow strike to the face. Knee strike to the groin.
When an aggressor chokes you from the front, you would first reach your arm around and trap the aggressor's arms. Then, give and elbow strike to the face followed by a knee strike to the groin.
