Let's take a moment to look at two-person lifting. When preparing to perform a two-person lift we first have to make sure we call an assistant obviously and make sure that assistant also knows how to lift objects properly or can take good orders. Make sure the object is not hooked or trapped prior to trying to lift the object. In this case it's a ladder. Choose one of the two persons to be the take-charge person. This is the person who is basically gonna synchronize the move. Choosing something like on three let's lift, then calling out one, two, and three and lift on three and then when each person has recentered their gravity and reassessed the weight and shape of the object the person in charge of calling the move will say on three let's begin walking out of the room. Then make sure to synchronize where you're going to place the object down all the while remembering to use proper lifting techniques when lowering the object. Be sure to take small steps and watch for dangers of maybe pushing the other carrying partner or creating an unsafe environment.
When performing a two-person lift, one person will take the lead and call out when to lift and when to lower.
