When faced with moving an unusual object there are some things to keep in mind. For this example we're lifting a sack. We'll still wanna survey the object. Try to gauge how heavy the object is and plan the lift and decide can I lift this safely by myself or do I need a lifting device? Do I have a lifting device available? Or do I need a partner? In this case the sack isn't too heavy and can be lifted safely with good lifting techniques. Position the sack so that we can manage the lift. Fold the top over especially if it's going to get in the way of your line of sight. Now bending down using your legs, back straight and head up, we lift the object. Making sure that nothing obstructs the view of walking, secure the object close to our body, and then begin walking to our destination with proper carrying techniques.
When moving an unusual object, try to determine how heavy the object may be. First determine if you can use a lifting device or another person. If you have to lift the object manually, position the object so you can lift is. Keep the head up, back straight, object close to the body, and lift using the legs.
