(slow upbeat music) Now in this next segment we're going to show you the under the arm, grabbing the wrist single person person move. This is again an emergency move. It's going to have to require some serious ergonomics because we're going to be actually lifting the largest part of this person's body, the upper torso. So technique is going to be key. But this is extremely safe and useful move when in an emergency situation where time is not able to be compromised. We're going to have the person laying on the floor using the top of the shirt. Or reaching underneath the head and the neck, we're going to lift this person into a semi sitting position. Reaching under their arms we're gonna grab the opposite wrists, my left hand grabs their right wrist, my right hand grabs their left wrist. Now having my back in a locked nice curve, my head is facing up, I'm going to stand up and begin dragging the person.
This under arm wrist drag move requires a lot of strength and good ergonomic technique. Again, this move would only be used in an emergency. Place the person in a semi-sitting position. Move your hands under the arms of the patient and grasp the opposite wrists of the patient. Now, stand up slightly, lifting the patient's head and back off the ground, and walk backward, dragging the patient.
