That&#8217;s how much online training has revolutionized the way we prepare people to save lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As I reflect on this momentous occasion, I&#8217;m reminded of why we started ProTrainings, what fuels our mission, and where we&#8217;re headed next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Inspiration for ProTrainings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Before co-founding ProTrainings in 2003, I spent years teaching CPR the old-fashioned way \u2014 in cramped classrooms with only a dozen students at a time. As a paramedic who&#8217;d witnessed the devastating consequences of inadequate CPR training firsthand, I knew we had to think bigger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statistics were grim: Only about 6% of cardiac arrest victims survived, and a mere 10% of people trained in CPR would even attempt to save a stranger&#8217;s life. I was driven to find a way to train more people, faster \u2014 and better \u2014 so we could transform those heartbreaking numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The internet was in its infancy, but my co-founders and I saw its potential. We were undeterred by dial-up speeds and the lack of video platforms (YouTube didn&#8217;t even exist yet!). In 2007, after years of perseverance, ProTrainings launched the world&#8217;s first fully video-based CPR course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Mission: More Relevant Than Ever<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Fast forward to today, and the impact is undeniable. As more effective CPR training has reached more and more people, national cardiac arrest survival rates have increased by a factor of over <strong>10X <\/strong>when CPR and an AED are administered within 6 minutes. We&#8217;re humbled and grateful that ProTrainings has played a part in this life-saving trend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ProTrainings has grown from three passionate co-founders to a global team of over 50, but our mission remains the same: to provide authentic, high-quality, fully accredited courses that equip people to save lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our free <a href=\"https:\/\/www.protrainings.com\/causes\/studentcpr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Student CPR program<\/strong><\/a> has certified over <strong>375,000 high school students<\/strong> nationwide. We believe in nurturing the next generation of confident lifesavers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Innovations like our <strong>Single Use Manikin Option (SUMO)<\/strong> have made hands-on skills training more accessible and affordable. And we&#8217;ve expanded our course catalog to prepare trainees for a wide range of emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Future: No Finish Line in Sight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hitting the 3-million trained rescuers milestone is incredible, but ProTrainings is far from finished. Our team is dedicated to bringing you the best training possible, wherever you learn best.
