ProTrainings News: 2025 ECC guideline Updates

October 22, 2025 will be a big day for the CPR and first aid community. That’s when the new Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Guidelines are released. Both the American Heart Association (AHA) and the American Red Cross (ARC) have shared their rollout schedules for the first quarter of 2026, and our ProTrainings education team is preparing to update our courses so we can stay in step.

At ProTrainings, our goal is to have updated content also ready in early 2026. That means all certifications issued after our transition date will be fully aligned with the 2025 ILCOR and ECC guidelines, so our customers can be confident their training meets the latest international standards.

Based on the ILCOR research already published, we expect most of the updates to be relatively modest. That said, we won’t know the full scope until the official guidelines drop in October. Once we’ve reviewed them, we’ll get to work making sure our content is accurate, clear, and up to date.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us — your role as an instructor is what makes it possible for learners everywhere to stay current, confident, and prepared.

Diving Deeper into the ECC: Carbon Monoxide Safety
